Starting Counselling

First Steps

If you want to find out more about counselling, you could email or give me a call on 07789 696711. It is an opportunity to ask questions about the counselling process and allows me to build an outline of your situation.

Initial Appointment

If you decide to give counselling a go, you can then make your first appointment. It will last about an hour and allows you to “have your say” about what is troubling you and what you expect from counselling. We will explore possible reasons for what is happening in your life, so at the end of the hour, you will be able to make an informed decision, whether to continue.

Often clients can’t formulate an exact problem, but are just feeling “stuck in a rut”, “low” or generally unhappy.

In this case, I would help you to discover what you really want from life, and how you may actually be unconsciously stopping yourself from getting those things you want.

Your Regular Appointment

If we decide to continue working together, we would agree regular appointments. I usually see clients once a week.

Based in Thame, I provide counselling services throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the London area.
